Come, Holy Spirit, and send out from heaven the ray of your light. Come, Father of the poor, come, giver of gifts, come, light of hearts. Best of consolers, sweet guest of the soul, sweet refreshment. Rest in labour, coolness in the heat, comfort in weeping. O most blessed light, fill the inmost heart of your faithful. Without your divine power there is nothing in man, nothing unharmed. Wash what is filthy, water what is dry, heal what is wounded. Bend what is rigid, warm what is cold, straighten what has wandered. Give to your faithful, who trust in you, the sevenfold gift. Give the reward of virtue, give a holy death, give everlasting joy. Amen.
