Christ conquers, Christ reigns, Christ commands
Christus vincit
Christ conquers! Christ reigns! Christ commands! King of kings and Lord of lords: to him alone the power, to him alone the praise and the jubilation, through ages upon ages without end. Amen.
Pass it on
In Latin

When this prayer is prayed
The Laudes regiae — acclamations sung over Frankish kings from the eighth century and over popes to this day. Fr Gabriele Amorth (1925–2016), exorcist of Rome for thirty years, handed these three verbs to the afflicted for the moment the pressure comes: not an argument with evil, an announcement of who already holds the throne. Say it walking home in the dark.
