Prayer for someone who has stopped believing

Lord, you knocked Saul off his horse while he was carrying the warrant for arrests, and you did it without asking his permission. I place before you N., who does not want this prayer said and does not know that it is being said. I do not ask you to force them. I ask you to be as close to them as you were to me when I was not looking for you. Arrange the encounters. Send the person. Be in the book, the illness, the loss, the kindness — whatever will open the door from the inside. And give me the patience to keep praying this for as long as it takes. Amen.
