Prayer to St Rita

Saint Rita of Cascia, you were married against your will to a violent man, you buried him, you buried both your sons, and you did not become bitter. Saint of the impossible, patroness of wounded marriages and of women who endure, ask for me what I do not have the strength to ask for myself. By the thorn that pierced your forehead for fifteen years, and by the roses that bloomed in your garden in January, obtain for me both things: the healing, if God wills it, and the patience, if He wills that instead. Amen.
