The Glory Be
Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
In Latin
Glória Patri, et Fílio, et Spirítui Sancto. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper, et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
When this prayer is prayed
After every decade of the Rosary, at the end of each psalm in the Divine Office, and as a complete prayer on its own when time is short. It is pure praise: it asks for nothing.
